to have the two girls in the same place at the same time (and looking vaguely in the same direction), so I thought I'd take the opportunity and record it. We had fun at the park recently, and they have these great windows at different heights to peek out - just the size for two little girls.

It's a rare thing...

Brrrrr...
We've had a great weekend and just arrived home from spending time with Greg's cousin Jason and his lovely family (wife Wennita and daughters Emily and Katrina) in Toowoomba. Unfortunately we chose a very cold day to venture out there, and being residents of the comparitively warmer coast were found to be wanting in the area of really warm clothes. Still, we had a great time and our two girls loved playing with their older cousins - as you can see.
Also visited my Aunt, Uncle and various cousins, and met baby Eden, who is a very sweet little girl now - almost 10months old and full of smiles. It was lovely to see them all, as we rarely have the opportunity to catch up anymore.
Back in time to get ready for Greg to work the public holiday at the shop...and me to do all the washing!

Flu strikes us down
Latest photos below - Olivia whipping up something in their play kitchen, and Ellen concentrating on her painting - a masterpiece in red I think...

It's been a while I know, but the flu knocked us all around last week, with Olivia and I still bearing symptoms this week...disappearing slowly thankfully. We've been doing a lot of playing inside - puzzles, singing, reading etc. to try to keep ourselves busy (and sane!). And of course the drenching that the Sunshine Coast has been receiving for nearly a week now has meant that we have continued on in that vein for quite a while now - I think that Ellen was very keen to go to Kindy to play with some other people and toys for a while!
We've just heard that she'll be going up to the next group and for 2 days a week from the end of the month, which she is very excited about. Of course I won't have space for all the extra 'craft' items that she keeps creating, but I'm sure we can manage that with a swift rotation system - just wait until there are two of them... Luckily we have plenty of extended family members and friends without children, who are in need of fridge decorations!
Ellen's favourite new song is one in Spanish that she learnt at Kindy and has been teaching us - it's very cute with great actions, I'm trying to get her to do it when I have the camera in hand to record it for you, but of course she doesn't like to perform on command (just all the rest of the time!). I'll need to be more discrete... She's been learning some Spanish from her Kindy teacher and understands a lot more than she can verbalise, which should be good for the future - I regret not having properly learnt another language.
