Greg's first week at work in Toowoomba he managed to make the local paper for the article above. His new boss thought that it was hilarious that his shoes had come apart and took the photo and sent the story in... Needless to say, he now has a new pair of shoes and a pair that need repairing! We'll be heading your way for some assistance on that front soon Uncle Marshall...

Mooloolaba again

Olivia loves the beach - she's all packed long before we're thinking of getting into the car and never lets us forget the buckets and spades...

From the next two shots you can see that camping here is hard to take - easy setup, great facilities and that view - who'd take a unit for multiple times the price across the busy road above???

We rather enjoy having Greg's parents away for a month, because it means that we can go and visit. They have such a great spot up there on the waterfront in their caravan - we weren't able to take up the offer of leaving it there for us to use for a week after they come home this year, but hopefully next year we'll be in a position to...
Perfect day too after all the rain, couldn't ask for better, and the rockpools were all exposed after our afternoon sleeps, so we were able to explore those as well.

Ellen had a ball at the park at the beach the other day being the train driver - anything that makes her the boss at the moment is a favourite - is this just a four year old thing?? I'm glad I'm not her little sister - some days I think that Olivia is developing the patience and good humour that will stand her in good stead in the future...

We headed down to Redcliffe for a swim and dinner on the waterfront this afternoon - what a gorgeous summer's day it was! After checking out the big playground we headed to the beach to swim and hunt for fish - spotted schools of whiting and a decent size gar fish. A quiet little beach it was, away from the crowds further south, so it was fun to play and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Then we went in search of a proper pizzeria (one that makes real pizzas, not those things that come from the chains!), and managed to find a little one run by an Italian family, which gave us a huge pizza with toppings that put others to shame - both in volume and taste. So a successful seach, and we enjoyed the last light of the day on the beach...what a beautiful part of the world we live in...!

Some people tell me my girls look alike, whereas others tell me the complete opposite - I guess I don't really mind either way - to me I see them as totally different individuals through their completely different and yet both vitally vibrant personalities. But there's no denying those blue eyes...
