Change of season

Do you have this scene at your house each change of season?

Every six months or so there's the task of sorting through clothes that
still fit, and which of the new clothes that I've been judiciously
buying on clearance racks will be in use soon. For some reason that
seems to cause great amounts of excitement with the girls who leap about
like crazy galahs dressing up in everything they can find and creating a
huge mess of clothes on the bed - poor Lauren wasn't quite sure what to
think! After a while she decided that being buried in new clothes on the
bed was rather fun - you can play peek-a-boo with all sorts of different
colours that way.

Now we just need it to actually warm up so that we can wear some of our
warm weather gear...bring on Spring!

What the boys have been doing...

Greg and my Dad spent a very productive week putting battens around the
underneath of our house, including painting three faces of the boards
before they were attached - all 330 of them... A very big job! There's
still a lot of painting to do on the front faces, but the structural
stuff is mostly done now - there was a push to finish that with a late
finish under lights tonight before the nail gun had to go back to the
hire shop, but they made it.
Mum, Lauren and I were the catering and light entertainment crew - we
definitely had the easy job this week, although I did manage to get some
painting for a few hours. Lauren's loving having Daddy home a bit more
often since he finished up work last week - she has a special cackle
that is reserved for his tickles only.
