Happy New Year!

Instead of a late night, we chose to have an early start New Years Day this year, with a BBQ breakfast at the beach. The beauty of this being that it's fairly easy to find a good location as everyone else is sleeping in! We were also heading out as the day heated up, and home for a well earned rest (for the adults and Lauren anyway!).
Love the fact that in the top right photo it catches Lauren trying to climb the small playground equipment - the girl is a climber and will attack anything that looks remotely climbable...and even some that don't!
A lovely morning, which may well become a tradition for our family. We had Mum and Dad, the Eigels and the Kings join us this year for the inaugural event - all are welcome next year if you're game to commit to an early start...

Clark Christmas 2011

We had our usual early morning breakfast with the Clark side of the family on Christmas Day. After a veritable feast for breakfast (and some nagging from the kids) we settled down to enjoy giving and receiving gifts. As always there were lots of laughs throughout.
Lauren was very interested the goings on this year, and loved all the paper and boxes afterwards, while the girls were quick to request we head to Aunty Tricia and Uncle Jason's tennis court to try out their new tennis racquets with a quick 'game'. A good way to run off the breakfast for us all anyway!
Unfortunately we have had to pack away the vast majority of gifts until after we move to our next home in a few weeks, although it will certainly be exciting again when they are finally able to open to boxes and actually play with things...
