My Mum came to stay for a few nights last week - we had big plans for exploring the area, but to be honest, the freezing temperatures kept us either indoors or our shopping in nicely climate controlled centres most of the time. I was a bit worried the first morning when she came out of her bedroom dressed in scarf and beanie, and we hadn't even planned our day yet - that was just her lazing around the house attire apparently! We did have a great time though, two of the local stores chose last week to have amazing sales - 75% off the already reduced price etc., so we did our best to save lots of money on clothes for the girls (and my nephews) for the next year or so.
My camera died halfway through the week, so the only other pictures I have are of our morning making an apple pie and lots of interesting pastry things. Lots of fun, and it tasted great too!
