We celebrated Papa's birthday this weekend when they came to stay with us, on their way west with their caravan, ready to explore the centre of Australia. The girls loved seeing them, and spending some time before another long break - especially visiting the caravan to pretend to cook etc. in the little oven, and to squish into the bed for early morning cuddles. While they were here we also went out to an Asian restaurant up here for a lovely dinner, and spent a fair amount of time exploring all the beautiful carvings, jewellery and other things that were on display, including these pretty neat elephant chairs.
Aunty Kathryn supplied the delicious home-made birthday cake - blue for boys apparently - a scarcity in the next generation thus far!
