Another milestone passed. Ellen had a great day today, which started with finding her bedroom full of balloons and then going on a hunt to find her presents around the house, and finally having Daddy cook her pancakes on request. All that before before 6am, interspersed with a myriad of phone calls to keep us on our toes!
Dinner was homemade pizzas followed by chocolate cake covered with as many M&Ms as we could fit on - an oldie, but still a tried and true favourite in terms of taste. The 'real' (ie nicely decorated and themed) cake will be at the extended family gathering on the weekend. A few pics of the celebration above though - the ballerina book and associated DVD was a hit, although after watching it she said
"Mum, that looks hard - I think I'll do gymnastics instead."
Hmmm....
