What a difference a weekend makes...

The viewing gallery early on - you can see who is a local by what they are wearing!!
The 'before' pictures..
The two most willing helpers - Lachlan and Olivia getting dirty with the rocks
The start of the wall
Greg and his helpers. They were very excited to have a work glove each, although interestingly they used the bare hand whenever they needed to actually 'do' anything.
Birthday morning tea on the back deck for Aunty Tricia
Last weekend we had the 'digger' back to do some more work - building
the sandstone retaining wall, shifting dirt etc. With heavy machinery in
attendance, my sister Tricia, two nephews and Nanna and Grandad were
also keen to spend the day with us. Lachlan proved a worthy off-sider to
Uncle Greg, and did a great job of helping out for a while, and both
spent a considerable amount of time watching the proceedings.
Our girls were less interested in the happenings outside - Ellen hardly
ventured out to the 'building' site at all, and Olivia was only mildly
more so. If the boys hadn't been their, I'm not sure that they would
have looked at all. The did help with making the birthday morning tea
for Aunty Tricia though, and everyone was ready for a break on the back
deck mid-morning...hard to get going again after sitting, eating and
looking out at the view!
More photos to come...
