Greg arrived home from his conference in Queenstown with some great news and a small gift for each of the girls. As you can see, they were delighted with their special presents - their first 'real' jewellery, so it got put away in their treasure boxes at bedtime until the next time they wear a pretty dress (which is most days really for Olivia, so they should get a fair work out!). You may not be able to see, but there's a Paua shell in the shape of a Kiwi on each piece.
His great news was that the store won the best small store in Australia for the group in the last financial year. We came second last year, so it was great to finally take out first place - just prior to selling...oh well! No regrets, but lovely to get some recognition for all the hard work (even if it's just a trophy and certificate).
You may well be wondering what my gift was - apparently he won (in one of the conference sessions) another 10kg giant block of chocolate from Cadbury's, so I get to choose how we distribute it...hmmm...
