The weather was turning bad on our 2nd last day, so our holiday was slightly shortened, however we had a great time and the girls both had their first turns standing up and riding Daddy's surfboard on their own. They did really well, riding the rather strong currents in the estuary of the turning tide - they weren't up to the swells on the beaches just yet!!
We had a great time with Uncle Russell, Aunty Kathryn and baby Lucy too - book reading is always a favourite (thanks for reading the same book sooo many times Aunty Kathryn!), and we managed to get some kite flying in as well when the winds weren't too cyclonic!
Other highlights were walks on the beach, seeing whales breaching off the surf beach, peacocks walking on the side of the road, some beautiful scenery on our 'road trip' day and lots of other things - we crammed a lot into a few days, and for our first holiday in a loooong time, it was great!
