Well, it was a noisy week last week, after the dust and heat of the previous, and Greg was hard at work jackhammering up all the tiles from the central 3 rooms so that new flooring can go down - we couldn't keep them due to moving walls etc. which left areas without tiles at all. It was a very noisy job - so the girls and I made ourselves scarce whenever we could. Greg's hands are still numb now, days afterwards, but it all got done in time thankfully.
We also had the plasterers come to finish the cornice etc. and last night put the first coat of paint on, so things are happening. We're painting at night when the girls are in bed - a big day for Greg, but at least I can help then without my 'helpers' trying to add their assistance too. Last time we tried letting them help out with the painting it was rather hilarious from an on-lookers point of view, but that was about it - lots of work to patch up the drips etc. afterwards (and that was just off them!).
