Our family headed across the 'ditch' to spend two weeks in NZ in the September school holidays, to catch up with my extended family on my Dad's side, and to do a bit of exploring. The wait for the departure date to finally arrive was excruciating for little people at times, but finally it arrived and the excitement was tangible! Finally we were on the plane after checking out the airport with Lauren on her new car suitcase, which she can use as a ride-on as well as store her things in (an inspired gift from Aunty Tricia - thank you!). The girls loved the flight - they don't watch much TV at all, so having a screen all to themselves for 3 hours was a real treat (they nearly forgot to eat their meal they were so excited!).
