NZ Trip 2
Visiting NZ we were expecting wet weather - so we crammed in as much while the forecast remained favourable. We visited the Museum of Transport and Toys (MOTAT) where there were lots of things for the girls to try out, from the tactile dome where they had to navigate a course in the pitch black just touching the walls and working together as a team (kids only), through to a life-size model of a modern train where they could pretend to be the train drivers, and lots of other things in between. The historical village was very popular with the girls (and eye-opening I think), and the playground was a favourite with Lauren. We also checked out the MOTAT library and read some books, did puzzles and other activities in the library there as well. Greg and the older girls also went to a 4D theatre which wobbles around while they watch a film relating to the movement (I know, I described that badly, but they thought it was great!). Finally we took a tram ride to round out our visit.
