We headed north of Auckland to a place called Snow Planet for a few hours in the snow. It was so much fun, and much easier than driving the 4.5hours south to the real snow fields! We tobogganed until we were exhausted, then enjoyed a hot chocolate in the cafe afterwards. The girls are keen to strap on the skis next time around, and so am I, but we just didn't have enough time to fit everything in this trip.
